A Small Town Christmas is a collaborative project between several Oakdale non-profit and service organizations. Our goal is to fill Oakdale with Christmas cheer for years to come by raising money to purchase additional decorations that will add to the Christmas spirit throughout the city. 

Many of us have missed the Christmas trees that lined the pathway of Wood Park in past years; this year they'll be back! Families, businesses, schools, and organizations can sponsor a Christmas tree to decorate or one of the many wooden decorations that will fill the park. All sponsors will receive a social media shout out for their support!

December 2, 2023 will be a festive day in Oakdale!

The following festivities will take place on December 2nd, in and around Oakdale: 

• Downtown Christmas is from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Christmas on First is from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m.
• Oakdale Enrichment Society will host their annual Christmas Parade beginning at 4:00 p.m.
• Friends of Community Hospice and Health Services will be hosting their first ever Light Up A Life tree lighting at Wood Park at 6:00 p.m.
• Following the lighting of the big tree, all of the trees lining the path will be lit for the first time.
• Love Oakdale is sponsoring a Christmas Window Decorating Contest and winners will be announced at the tree lighting event.

We are excited to bring Christmas decorations back to the center of town! 

With your help we will be able to add to our collection of decorations to make future years even more festive!
